How Important are Food Enzymes in Your Life?
Part 5: Hormonal System
In this article I will be talking about the endocrine system. The endocrine system is a collection of glands in the body that secrete hormones. Some of the functions that the endocrine system is responsible for are the stress response, metabolism, absorption and sexual health.
There is a direct link between the endocrine system and the digestive system. So if you have a problem with one, there is a high chance of you have a problem with both. What is the connection? The hormones have to be built in the body and need the raw material (protein and fat) to do so. If you can’t properly digest your food, the glands of the endocrine system cannot produce these hormones appropriately. They then don’t have a choice but to not function well and give you symptoms as a result.
Eating a balanced diet and improving digestion with food enzymes can greatly improve the function of the endocrine system. Food enzymes can help predigest your food, which will then provide the raw material needed to help your body produce the necessary hormones for proper function. This is why digestion is paramount and should be considered as the first domino in the cascade of optimal health. Without a balanced diet and proper digestion, it is only a matter of time before the body becomes exhausted and symptoms manifest.
Here are a few common symptoms that let you know that your endocrine system could be out of balance:
- History of thyroid disorders
- Awake after a few hours and can’t get back to sleep
- History of prostate disorders
- History of menstrual disorders
- Neck, shoulder, arm, hand pain
- Fatigued, easily tired
Dr. Giaquinto is certified as an Internal Health Specialist through the post graduate department of Logan University. Dr. Giaquinto has learned specific, scientific ways of determining how well a patient can or cannot digest their food and what glands of the hormonal system are out of balance. He utilizes formulated digestive enzymes to meet the specific nutritional needs of the patient, taking into consideration the patient’s diet and how well their body digests food, as well as looking at the different glands of the hormonal system. Food enzyme supplements are extremely effective in supporting glands of the hormonal system to support normal function.
